 Since my colleague nurse got TESOL, it proved value added in her NOC Department. I too thought to improve my communication skills, needed in planning and PT care. Applied Linguistics is the need of the hour today, particularly in NANDA, CCC, and PNDS regarding the medical field. Once I wanted to help patients with Atopic Dermatitis AD but could not make it effectively because of a lack of language proficiency. Hence, I decided to enrol myself in SLP to provide quality care and a better understanding of the doctor-patient relationship as a trusted professional nurse so I could continue my one good deed a day.
